INSTALLATION METHODS

Brick-to-Brick Installation (Full Tear Off)

  • the entire window is cut out and any (internal) deterioration is cleaned out entirely.
  • involves removing and replacing the complete frame, casing, jams, existing brick mould, and trim.
  • new window with complete frame is put in, leveled and screwed into place.
  • shims are used for any unlevel areas around the opening to ensure the window will stay level and secure.

Retrofit Installation (Frame-to-Frame)

  • replacement window is installed into the existing wood frame.
  • glass is cut out of the frame and everything around the window remains intact.
  • new window is then screwed into the existing frame.
  • customers are able to keep their existing trim, blinds, and shutters.

Stud-to-Stud Installation

  • very similar to a brick to brick installation, all existing window components, (i.e.: frames, casing, jamb), are removed down to the stud.
  • the major difference is that the stud to stud installation does not require brick molding around the window.
  • new aluminum flashing is installed and tied into your home structuring.
